Aluminium 1050 Forgings have a minimum of 99.5% aluminium with minor traces of iron (≤0.4%), silicon (≤0.25%), and trace elements such as copper, manganese, and zinc. These forgings have mechanical properties of tensile strength from 60–100 MPa and yield strength from 20–85 MPa, depending on the temper (O, H14, etc.). The trade name “Aluminium 1050 Forgings” is given to aluminium parts formed by compressive forces for use in applications where formability, corrosion resistance, and conductivity are utmost priority.
