Aluminium 1100 Square Bars consist of 99% pure aluminium and hence are greatly corrosion and oxidation resistant. Although not heat-treatable, they have very good ductility and can be cold worked to enhance strength. Normal tensile strength is from 90 to 140 MPa depending upon temper (typically H14 or O). The bars are light in weight, non-magnetic, and free machining, and they retain satisfactory surface finish properties, which is advantageous for both functional and aesthetic uses.
